Masjid Quba, Saudi Arabia
Masjid Quba, located just outside Madinah, is the first mosque built in Islam. It was established by Prophet Muhammad and his companions shortly after their migration (Hijra) from Makkah to Madinah in 622 CE. The mosque holds great significance, as it was the first place where the Prophet prayed upon arriving in the city. It is also mentioned in the Qur'an, highlighting its special status. Masjid Quba is regarded as a place of great reward, with a hadith stating that praying there is equivalent to performing an Umrah. Today, it remains a popular site for pilgrims and visitors, known for its historical and spiritual importance in the early days of Islam.
